Jennifer Ritter Guidry holds a Master of Arts and Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. She has served as Assistant Director for the Programming and Special Projects Division (formerly the Center for Cultural and Eco-Tourism) since 2003 and oversaw production for the UL Press for three years. Her research interests include indigenous Louisiana history and the impact of Americanization on various settlement groups in Louisiana. She also coordinates research and community programming, maintains a working relationship with the Louisiana Department of Culture, Recreation, and Tourism as well as its private sector partners, and participates in several presentations and demonstrations throughout the year. In addition, she supervises all material packaged from the archives for a greater audience in a multitude of formats, plans events and programs throughout the year, and conducts fieldwork for the archives. She has a passion for rural development and creative placemaking and works closely with communities throughout Louisiana.
