Dr. Helen Hurst, an associate professor and graduate coordinator for the College of Nursing and Allied Health Professions, is an expert on women's health, including maternity and obstetric care, and midwifery. She also is an expert in evidence-based practice in nursing, and nursing curriculum and program evaluation. Dr. Hurst was recently featured on an educational webinar for nurses about the Zika virus. It discussed the public health perspective, preparedness, and ways that nurses can advise the public about the virus.
